The Kleenex Cottonelle Flushable Moist Wipes for Kids are alcohol free, soft, thick, gentle and are designed to help children in the first stages of toilet training as they learn to care for their own hygiene.
They come in a cute pop-up dispenser with a puppy on the lid, which appeals to the littlies and is relatively easy to use.
Ellie, at 4, has been wiping herself for quite awhile now and hasn’t had any issues. Kahlei, 3, is still toilet training (on and off) and finds wiping with toilet paper a little more difficult as she learns what must be done.
The cute design appealed to her and, after the first wipe was extracted (which was quite difficult) she was happy to give them a try. For me, I believe it’s important to give them the independence to try to clean themselves up, with the appropriate guidance, if that’s what they want and these wipes gave me the confidence that she was learning and doing a good job.
The thick, strong wipes never broke and left her fresh and clean. When she was finished she just popped it in the toilet and flushed. Easy.
They are scented and I’m not sure if I like it or not. Kahlei says it smells nice. For us, their price means they would only be used as an introduction to wiping and after the first container was empty we would move on, even though they’re refillable.
You can find some great toilet training tips on the Kleenex Mum’s site from when to begin training to toilet paper usage tips.
RRP $4.98 for one refillable tub of 42 wipes
